Teaching Philosophy
As an instructor, I aim to develop an inclusive space for intellectual curiosity through intentional pedagogical tools. My teaching philosophy as a sociology instructor is to guide students in understanding how overarching social processes shape their personal experiences. By encouraging students to develop a sociological lens, I hope they challenge their prior assumptions and apply sociological concepts and methods to think critically about their world beyond the classroom. I received the Marvin Bressler Graduate Student Teaching Award from the Princeton Department of Sociology for my Soc 302 sociological theory instruction.
Future Teaching Interests
My research and teaching interests span several fields. I am open to teaching courses on sociological theory, race and immigration, health and society, and population topics and methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
